Jourdanton, Texas Online Driver Education

PTDE gives eligible families more control over the driving education process.

The current core Texas program includes at least 24 classroom hours, 7 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, 7 hours of in-car observation, and 30 hours of supervised practice. At least 10 of the 30 supervised practice hours must be completed at night. (Texas DL&R)

The additional supervised practice is not the same thing as the seven hours of instructor-led behind-the-wheel training. Families should keep the required driving records and complete each part of the program as required.

Teen Licensing

SH 16

SH 97
