FM Roads

Several Farm-to-Market routes connect Rising Star and other communities to rural areas. These roads are useful for supervised practice because they require drivers to adjust to rural speeds, curves, intersections and changing sight distances.

I-20

I-20 is north of Rising Star and provides the county's major east-west interstate connection. Students should gain appropriate supervised freeway experience before driving independently on interstate routes.

US 183 is the most useful local focus for a Rising Star driver.
